Ballet, the Swan’s Wing

A wing emerges from the shade,
Shaped in light, so soft, so bright.
The night devours what once might fade,
Only dreams now dance in white.

A silver gleam, a fleeting sigh,
Upon the blackened waters glows.
The feathers drift like whispers high,
A silent dance the darkness knows.

No cry, no sound, just time that sways,
In tender waves, in fleeting flight.
A moment pure, where grace still plays,
A winged dream in shadowed light.

Then fades the glow, so soft, so slight,
A final breath that melts away.
The wing descends into the night,
Carried where the silence stays.
