The Dying Swan – Ballet

In the twilight, fading soft and slow,
a swan dances, the pain begins to show.
Its wings, so grand, so wide,
grow heavy with time, in the stillness of the tide.

Each step a farewell, each glance a breath,
its body weakens, but still full of depth.
It spins, it falters, as though it flies,
the air in its wings, where heavy silence lies.

The movement, delicate as the final sigh,
the dancer within feels the spirit fly.
It fights against the fall, against the end,
but in its grace, it cannot bend.

Slowly, it sinks, the end draws near,
its spirit lives on, in the dance, sincere.
The swan that dies, in beauty and glow,
shows us the moment when time lets go.

And as the curtain gently falls,
we see the swan, fading through the calls.
Its final step, the deepest sound,
the art of the dying swan, forever profound.
