Winter dress

Winter wears its most beautiful dress,
decorated with many stars,
drives away many a loneliness
when much lies in the distance.

Crystals glitter on the trees,
a white carpet wraps you up.
The flakes make you dream,
Soon it will be Christmas again.

The feast of love is already near,
But love is always there,
in you and in all of us,
sometimes from far away, sometimes very near,
the flakes are falling, falling.
